Cookie Policy

The short version: Yonder PH sets five cookies, all of them set by us and all of them needed to run the site. None of them follow you to other websites, none are used for advertising, and none are sold. That is why there is no cookie banner here.

This policy lists every cookie we set, what each one does, and how long it lasts.

What a Cookie Is

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store and send back on later requests. It is how a site can tell that two visits came from the same browser, which is what keeps you signed in as you move between pages.

A first-party cookie is set by the site you are looking at. A third-party cookie is set by someone else — usually an advertising network — and is the kind that follows you from one website to the next. Every cookie described in this policy is first-party.

The profile view marker is set once for each profile you open, so reading several profiles leaves several of them behind. Each one holds a date and nothing else — no name, no account, and no identifier for you.

Why There Is No Cookie Banner

A cookie banner exists to collect permission for cookies that are not needed to deliver the site you asked for. We do not set any.

Four of the five cookies above are necessary on their face: without them you cannot sign in, stay signed in, or get past the setup screens. The fifth — the profile view marker — deserves a fuller explanation, because it exists to keep a number accurate rather than to deliver the page you requested.

We treat it as necessary on these facts: it is set by us and nobody else, it holds a date and no identifier for you, your browser sends it back only to this site, it expires the same night, and the only thing it affects is a total view count shown to the person whose profile it is. That count is never broken down by visitor, never shared, and never sold.

If we ever add analytics, advertising, or anything that follows you to other websites, we will ask for your permission before setting it, and this policy will describe it before that change takes effect.

What We Don't Do

No advertising cookies. There is no advertising network on this site.
No third-party analytics.
No cookies that follow you to other websites.
No selling or sharing of cookie data. There is nothing in these cookies to sell.

Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no agreed standard for how a site should interpret one, and because Yonder PH does not track you across other websites, our service behaves the same whether the signal is present or not.

Controlling Cookies

Every browser lets you see which cookies a site has stored, delete them, and refuse new ones. The controls usually sit under Privacy or Site settings, and most browsers let you apply them to this site alone rather than to every site you use.

Blocking our cookies has one consequence worth knowing about: signing in stops working. The session cookie is how the site recognises you, so refusing it means every page treats you as a signed-out visitor. Everything a signed-out visitor can read stays readable.
